In January we celebrated David’s second birthday party: thematic Tea Party, that was written about in my previous post. Now I am ready to share some party details with you.
First of all, I’d like to say that the party was a wonderful celebration! We invited David’s closest peer friends with their moms who are my good friends))) So it was a small company that to my mind is the best way to celebrate a toddler’s birthday.
I was so excited to style this party for my son’s second birthday. I settled on a neutral, beige, brown and white colour scheme. I styled and DIYed so many beautiful details to create a party that my birthday boy would love. I wanted to keep it elegant, and still fun for the little ones. I put lots of love into this party, creating mostly all of the food and sweets, AND just about every bit of decor!
A lot of the items for this party came from the Fabric Land and Michael’s, that were mostly for my DIY project, and Etsy. I also had a nice supply of decorations that went beautifully with this party (yes, I love buying beautiful décor stuff when I see one!)
Balloons and photographs are two decorating staples when it comes to kids\’ parties, so why not combine them? I printed small photos from our thematic photo-shoot (you can check them here) to hang them from balloons (some tips to those of you who have never tried it: you’ll need small size photos or use light paper prints to keep the helium balloons up with the pictures on them).
The focal point on the table was the burlap table runner, DIY Flower vases, cage candle holders and the miniature teady bear tea set. And the cake!
The delicious cake was made by Excellent Cakes.
Cookies were made by Alina from Alina\’s Edible Incredibles. She did a good job…too cute to eat!
